"Tulong Sulong Dunong" is a community project that was conceptualized on June 2016 as an answer to the call of service for the underprivileged and indigent students in public basic education schools in the province of Nueva Ecija. It aims to aid the students in their studies, motivate them, and uplift their morale by sharing them some school supplies and other resources which they may utilize for studying. It is the second year of the project and this year, the Tulong Sulong Dunong Learners' Kits were distributed to selected student beneficiaries of Putlod Elementary School, Jaen, Nueva Ecija on September 6, 2017. One hundred and fifty-one (151) students from Grades One to Six delightfully and excitedly accepted their new school supplies and vowed to use it properly for the improvement of their studies. Aside from school supplies, bags, shoes, office supplies and reading articles such as encyclopedias, dictionaries and other books were donated to the students, teachers and the Principal's Office. The distribution team was headed by PP Edisen Mamauag, the founder of the project, together with Rotaract Club of Cabanatuan City’s Great Class President Gelen Keila Baroña, Vice President / President-Elect Russell Allen Vilda, and Rotaractor Clarizza Mae Santos. They were warmly joined by the School Principal IV of Putlod Elementary School, Mrs. Celia DG Esguerra, and teachers Mrs. Cristina Eduardo and Mrs. Carina F. Perez together with the respective advisers of the beneficiary students. The project is also supported by the Rotary Club of Cabanatuan City headed by Great Class President Albert Puno San Gabriel. The organizers and the beneficiaries give thanks and sincere gratitude to all the donors and sponsors of the project.
